A Slaanesh themed Chaos Space Marine force for tournament play. Has forward elements (Terminators and Rhino Squads and Heldrake) to apply pressure while Cultists move midfield to claim an objective with the sorcerer. Lord goes with the Terminators. Havocs pop tanks and enemy infantry while Noise Marines blast midfield infantry and long range dug in marines with blastmasters. Can do well against horde style armies and lightly mechanized armies but struggles with flyer heavy armies. Well balanced and has a strong theme to help in comped events and is not an over the top win at all costs army.

The numbers in the parentheses are the point costs per upgrade or base unit costs.

Enjoy-

Colin

Saddle on the block

My good friend Jennie is selling her saddle, just thought I would put it out there.

She is improving her life by getting an even better saddle.

Jewel the Bird

All right folks, ready for the story? Willow gets it into her head that she wants a Parakeet. So we spend the weekend and Monday looking at videos of parakeets on Youtube and actually learning quite a bit. We have a rule of no un-caged fur in our home (so fish OK, cats not OK) and while technically a Parakeet is caged non-fur Tamie highly objects to getting a bird, even if it stays in the garage.

Willow keeps her mouth shut about it during the day when I'm gone as she is a smart girl and knows that bringing it up with just Mom will get her no traction.

And thus it is today that I'm home watching the kids in the afternoon while Tamie is in Salt Lake and it's time to go to the pet shop. Hooray! Dad is so great. We pick up this adorable blue parakeet, a cage and some food. This one is the sweetest of the bunch; no biting and instead of flying around the shop like crazy like the others it just flutters pathetically to the ground. Perfect.

Willow named her Jewel.

Once home we set up the cage in the garage and Willow plays with her new friend. She's over the moon, and just like in the pet shop the bird just flutters helplessly to the ground each time. I clip her wings like they showed me, just a little bit. I think wouldn't it be fun to take the bird into the back yard and let it run around in the grass. We get out there and she immediately flies with perfect precision right up into a neighbors tree and out of sight!

Willow was distraught out of her mind. We were just stunned. Jewel was totally faking it that whole time! So, what you're seeing here is Jewel 2. The second one that we got.

Willow wanted to sleep with Jewel 2, but knew she had to stay in her cage upstairs, so she came in and told me her great idea. Jewel could keep her company and she would bring her sleeping bag up and sleep on the floor next to Jewels cage.

Magic.

Special Ops Team

During the fall and winter of 2013 I am working with a small team of highly skilled artists to serve a few clients in a highly personalized manner with near-immediate turnaround.

Your project will be worked on by a team consisting of Joseph (one of the best painters to ever come out of BTP), Mike D. and myself (just plain awesome).  And a few other support people.  Oh, and my lovely wife Tamie will also be helping out on the communications side.

You will get my personal cell and other personal contact information.  We will keep you updated with vids, pics and/or and email, special just for your project.

Our group will be holding painting sessions 1-2 times a month where you can Skype or speakerphone in and talk with us as well as see what we are up to.

We can start right away.
We are looking for a happy client.  We want a meaty projects, something whole-army big or even something ridiculously epic, with specialty materials.  Or a very few figures painted to a high level.  We would love to do some Forge World big stuff.  We would also do a small collection like a War Machine army.

I love, just absolutely love, the creative process of making an army.  You don't need to have a fully formed idea.  I can help you with that.  It's what I do.

It starts with me as I'll help you set up with the best ideas and best starting materials.

I would prefer to find a client who has not done a project with us in a while, or who never has, or who would not have otherwise set up this project.  Mostly I am trying to re-connect with old clients and have some miniatures painting fun with my good (and talented!) friends.
