It's a long shot, but if anyone wants to set up a project tonight (yes Friday!) I'll be around all evening.
For a major project I'm ready to sweeten the deal.

Gaming update from Shawn.
I painted up 66x Termagants over the weekend and more coming.
Yesterday I fixed up a few Carnifexes and with the arrival of two Tervigons I got the sets of fleshborer hives (to represent TL TL devourers).
I'm coming up fast on 5000 points. What else should I add?
1x Carnifex
64x Termagants
2x Tervigons (for a total of five!)
I want to try a Tervigon/Gribblie army and just pack the board with as many bodies as possible.

Got this letter from a client/friend. It sounds about right. I love home and for now at least I am content. Wife, Children, Home and Hearth. A hobbit hole means comfort.
Hey Shawn,
I think your thing with traveling might just be the
trip itself...sometimes, or very often, the actual journey can be a
total pain. Getting to the airport, the rushing, the often crowded
conditions, the chaos...it can be overwhelming, and when things are like
that, I'm entirely not into it. That said, every now and then it works
out so that the actual trip itself is awesome...relaxed, fun, and
interesting...all good. I think I have a good dose of natural
wanderlust in me, though, because more often than not I'm totally into
just going...somewhere, anywhere. Feeling a rumbling engine
underneath me, or taking off into the sky into some unknown...I dig it.
In fact, a lot of time actually arriving at our destination is a bit of
a bummer for me...I just really loved the ride.
From watching you and listening to you for years now though, Shawn, I
really think you might be somewhat personally anti-travel for a very
simple reason (which I could be waaay off on, but who knows...), and
that is this; you've already made it to your destination. You've been
all over the place for a large portion of your life, and at last you've
found a place you really, really love. Home. It's beautiful, you have
everything you need there. Why go anywhere else? Your trip is over,
and you've made it. It's actually a really beautiful thought, and a
state of being that I think many would be envious of...myself
included:)
Hope all is well, Shawn, can't wait to see my army, and look forward to hearing from you!
Bob

Got my Dark Angels book first thing Saturday. The local shop didn't stock the new models very deep and I didn't want to be douchey and buy them all up so I didn't pick up any new releases.
Saturday afternoon I finished the mega battle report which was a huge undertaking at every step. You can see that on Youtube of course.
In the afternoon I ran to Costco to pick up some Sunday foodstuffs including a treat: some frosted cinnamon buns.
First impressions:
The new Land Speeder Vengeance is a turd. Nothing good about it and $35 more than a regular land speeder so no thanks to that. Maybe just maybe the Darkshroud version (with the icon thing) at 80 points might have some potential. I like synergy.
My impression of the Deathing: Holy McCheesus! They are so cool. They are loaded with new models, new options, and just shred-tastic all around. Ravenwing are amazingly cool, too.
A knot of Deathwing, deep striking around a Ravenwing Teleport Homer, (unerringly on turn one or two), with the Company Banner (+1 Attack to all within 6"). I see Deathwing as a very tough army, a nightmare to deal with.
My Dark Angels list is going to be mixed. I'm thinking something like this.
2x Heroes (Probably get a Belial in there to make the Deathwing into Troops)
2x full Tactical Squads (20x models, combat squaded up)
2x Rhinos
5x Veterans
1x Drop Pod
5x Scouts (Sniper Rifles)
5x Deathwing Knights
5x Deathwing Terminators
6x Ravenwing Bikes
1x Nephilim Jetfighter
1x Land Raider Crusader
I have this wild hair, this wild idea. A "Fiero". To build the entire Chapter of Dark Angels. One thousand models plus a few hundred vehicles. It can be done. And bring it to Valhalla in say... August.

Hey Shawn,
I just got my dark elves 02
ksch and dark elves 03 ksch in the mail this morning and everything
looks absolutely incredible.I can't even begin to tell you how satisfied
I am with the quality of the models and how fabulous they turned out. I
am satisfied 110%. Thank you so much for your customer service,
constant dedication to your profession, and love for the business. It
all shines through in the final product.
Now that I have those two projects done, I'm thinking about getting another one started soon.

Just finished Turn 03 of our 10,000 point Orcs/Ogres vs Empire Warhammer Fantasy mega-battle.
The score is about Ogres 5300 vs Empire 3400. So, we've got to catch up in the second half. It can be done.

Thanks Shawn,
Everyone there is so amazing and where the folks
that make the magic happen in concept, assembly, painting and by
participating in the spirit of the studio - whether involved in a
project or not, I salute them. For the folks there, Shannon, John, Josh,
Julie, Mason and the crew... and not to forget the wizard of wonder,
the long-beard of table top, the high mage of miniatures, Shawn.
Cheers,
A.M.

1. All of my interactions with Blue Table staff on any of my projects
have been friendly. Even when griping I have never encountered a rude or
unsympathetic staff member.
2. All staff I have interacted with
proved knowledgeable and were able to answer my questions and were not
afraid to ask multiple follow-up questions if they did not understand my
answer.
3. I have taken advantage of several of your multiple options and have not had a request for something specific turned down.
4. 11/2/2012 until 12/14/2012 an early Christmas present.
5.
I do. When it comes to artistic things, you get what you pay for. Good
value doe snot mean cheapest, to me it means I feel that what I received
was worth the money I spent. It was.
6. Project was up to Blue Tables usual high standards.
7. Shipping was excellent. They deserve many kudoes, even the tiny fragile fiddly bits were fine.
8. I intend to continue using Blue Table painting to meet my hobby needs.
9. I would, and in fact have, recommended blue table to other people in the market for quality painted miniatures.

[emails like this make it all worth it]
Dear Shawn,
[Just before Thanksgiving] I was rushed
to the ER and then the next thing I know I'm having back surgery so again I'm sorry I wasnt able to keep in touch but I will make up for it now I
was released on Thanksgiving of all days.
I would like to say few
things. My wife and kids were a great help and a blessing but they couldn't be there all the time while I was recovering. That's when Blue Table Painting came in I had my Nook and was able to watch your battle
reports and I also dreamed about my Beastmen army coming from dark
forests blending in to woods dark forms moving then a loud bellow from
Grunt One-horn and the cries of fear from the humans as they know their fate.
I think I'm just trying to say thank you.
You and your team helped me take my mind off the pain and the worry.
C.B.

Hello loyal BTP fan, what a delight it is to write a blog post for you today. I will try and write more. You have to understand, I've been up at 5:30am and I pass out by 9:00pm tops.
The studio is in high gear. As time goes on we become more coordinated. It takes time for people to get to know and trust each other. I see staff starting to play games with each other. On Saturday there were like eight staffers (and Mike D.) down for Infinity. It's a long-term dream of mine to see staff doing spontaneous game days. That was really cool.
For my part I am laser-beam focused on Inquiries. That means setting up new projects and also making sure current projects get through. Several times a week we do a walk through to be sure everything is on track. We almost all the way through a pretty huge logjam. Victims of our own success. But turnaround is vastly improving. Some projects are making it through in just a week or two. I'm working very diligently on this.
I haven't had the time to do Batreps, sorry to say. I really want to get the studio Skaven on the table.
For the next four to six months I plan on consolidating the studio with only moderate gains. We are focusing on fundamentals, just like a good team. How good can we make it? How close-knit can the team become? Then I think we will be ready for the much greater things that lay ahead.
Breaking Dawn 2 is out this weekend. I wonder who my wife is going to see that with. Read more on my personal blog.
